It is 16 more days until the first tourneys of the Paradise Poker Tour in Barcelona and everything, flights and apartment, is booked now! The flights from Frankfurt/Hahn with Ryanair have been booked two weeks ago, choosing a flight back on Sunday and another one on Monday, but it took us until today to book an apartment. Two weeks ago I we were looking at different apartments, but since they were no longer available, we decided to book a different one:

Maybe I should add a little explanation on we, since I will be joined by two colleagues of mine, both poker players as well.

First, there is a (real life) friend of mine, who I met playing cashgame years ago in Saarbrücken. We started to stay in touch with each other maybe two years ago and I told him about my plans to go to Barcelona and he directly agreed to join me. He will mainly be going to Barcelona to play the cashgames that will be offered parallel to the tourney action.

Secondly, a fellow member of Pokerzentrale.me, DingDong1860, will be joining and flying in from Munich to also play the Main Event. To be honest, i do not know him personally yet, but we have been in contact online for a while now, discussing our online doings via Skype, exchanging thoughts and hints throughout our tourney grinds. He is also offering parts of his 550 € Main Event action for 7€ per 1% – please let me know, if you want to invest in him as well and have two horses in the race

.

At the very end, last but not least, there is one more thing I want or rather

    have to

mention: Thanks a lot “bobsnyder” for the great idea of playing that $8.80 180-player SNG last week for fun – more of these ideas and I will give you a contract to be my manager! 😉

Exactly one month after publishing and advertising my project and blog, I thought it is time to have a little review of what has happened so far in terms of figures, statistics and other facts apart from the tourneys, tables and cards.

The site had 1,395 hits until today, which is an average of 47 hits per day. The busiest day was a couple of days after I launched the site with 257 hits on June, 25. In these 30 rather active days I have created 16 different blog posts and 8 pages spread across 18 categories. Especially the number of hits per day will most likely decrease in the future, but I am still happy as long as some of you stop by every now and then – maybe I will be able to maintain an average of 15-25…

The project itself attracted 19 different investors with single investments made in between 0.05 % up to 17.5 % to generate the sum of 55.25 % of the complete bankroll distributed among investors. I might be mistaken, but from my observations people from 10 different countries are supporting me as investors, many more as followers (which can be seen with the help of the flag counter on the left-hand menu bar). I have not told you guys so far, but despite the negative start, I am doomed to make some money with my doings: my girlfriend herself invested 0.25 % in the project!!! Thanks, hun 😉

Sales were up to 35.75 % after yet another big chunk of the pie were bought by Stavros Kalfas, also known as „IDOLLS“ on Pokerstars, through CMU – I would say, I am well on track looking back at only one week of official offering of the investing into the project.

“Barracuda, AndyRA, PBurn and Shmendric” kind of sounds like the brandnew line-up for Marvel’s reorganized Fantastic Four and maybe these four will indeed feel like superheroes at the end. The nicknames belong to three Germans (including me) and one Austrian Poker Player, who will start as team “Pokerzentrale.me” in Montesino’s European Team Championship of Poker (ETCOP) in August.

Pokerzentrale is a (mostly) German speaking Poker Community and the online home for the above mentioned superheroes.

The Montesino, one of the leading casinos in Austria, is hosting this team competition as a multi-event challenge for teams of four for a combined entry fee of 480 €. The event will start on Friday, August 12th, and will end on Sunday with a large Deepstack Finale. In between all members have to participate in different SNGs, MTTs and Cashgame to determine the best overall teams. The estimated prize pool will be 40.000 € total and of course we are aiming to not only play for fun and experience, but to win!

(This event will not count towards or be deducted of the project since it is not played by me solely.)
